User registration

August 2008 - I have now had to make it so only I can create accounts. Hundreds of pages have been created automatically that I have then had to delete. Send me an email and I will happily create an account for you.

Aug 200 - the Wiki has had hundreds of edits about decorators and plumbers in China, details of how to play World of Warcraft and many other edits totally unrelated to Baildon. As a result I have had to introduce a confirmation system that requires a user to respond to an email before they can edit the contents of the Wiki. I assume that most of the edits have been done automatically by systems just searching out Wikis and making changes. These systems will not usually put an email address in the user account nor will they respond to a link in the email. As a result these random edits to the site will now stop. The downside is that a person wanting to contribute to the Wiki will have to enter a valid email address and respond to the link in an email that they are sent.
