1931 Gypsy Carnival programme
The 1931 Baildon Carnival was held between Saturday 5th to Saturday 12th September.
The programme lists Black Dyke (Junior) Prize Band and Black Dyke Band as playing several times.
Amplification is by "Excel" super amplifier. (Excel Radio, prop T Hart, 42a Otley Rd, Shipley is one of the advertisers)
The "Invitation" in the 1931 carnival handbook mentions that over a hundred thousand made their way to the town on the hill for the 1929 Carnival.

- Carnival Procession from Baildon Green. Route: Green Lane, Otley Rd, Charlestown, Roundwood Rd, Station Rd, Browgate, Northgate to Carnival Field.
- Baildon Flitch Trial - Trial by jury. Winning married couple awarded flitch of bacon.
500 gallon cauldron From 4.00pm on 5th - Marriage of the Prince. From then on broth will be served from the 500 gallon cauldron designed, made and given by W P Butterfield's
