You can read about Sir Titus Salt on Wikipedia here

Sir Titus Salt built Salts Mill which he opened with a grand banquet on his 50th birthday, 20 September 1853, and set about building houses, bathhouses, institute, hospital, almshouses and churches, that make up Saltaire. It is often mentioned that Titus was teetotal but this is not true. There are accounts of dinners with various guests that show this. Also his wine cellar is a subject of his will. He did, however forbid 'beershops' in Saltaire.[1]

Titus Salt junior lived in Milner Field
